SUMMARY:Agrivoltaics Canada Community Exchange
DESCRIPTION:What role could cattle play in the next phase of agrivoltaics? \n\n\n\nJoin for our October Agrivoltaics Canada Community Exchange with Josh Bennett\, Client Executive at Huwa Enterprises\, for a discussion on Expanding Agrivoltaics: The Case for Cattle Grazing on Utility-Scale Solar. \n\n\n\nWhile much of the solar grazing conversation has centred on sheep\, this session will look at the potential to expand agrivoltaics through cattle integration\, drawing on experience operating cattle grazing programs across 100+ MW of utility-scale solar sites. \n\n\n\nJosh will explore how agricultural intentionality can be built into solar development\, construction and site design\, alongside the economic trade-offs for landowners and developers. He’ll also look at the impacts of heat stress on the beef and dairy industries and the potential for solar co-location to support herd health and productivity. \n\n\n\nLearn more: https://events.teams.microsoft.com/event/43d96665-9201-4711-b096-6d20cd3b5331@514fce24-1e2b-4643-a705-199fa45d5846?source=copyLinkLegacyShareLinkDialog \n\n\n\n\nRSVP

SUMMARY:2026 North American Agrivoltaics Awards
DESCRIPTION:A full evening of recognition and revelry to honor recent excellence in the advancement of agrivoltaics and ecovoltaics across North America \n\n\n\nEarly bird registration is now available to join an esteemed assembly of the very best in agrivoltaics and ecovoltaics the evening of October 27 to share solar-farmed fare and recognize the 2026 North American Agrivoltaics Awards recipients! \n\n\n\nThe 2026 North American Agrivoltaics Awards (NAAA) will return to Chicago October 27 for a full evening of recognition and revelry to honor recent excellence in the advancement of agrivoltaics and ecovoltaics across the continent. Now in its third edition\, this prestigious annual event celebrates outstanding achievements in dual-use solar development across North America by recognizing the people\, projects and plans that are breaking new ground and growing new opportunities–and sharing their stories. By elevating and celebrating the real work product of agrivoltaics and ecovoltaics (AgPV) and showcasing the very best of what’s possible\, the NAAA hopes to inspire wider adoption of AgPV and cultivate a generation of enduring growth of dual-cropping in agriculture and supercharged soil conservation. \n\n\n\nJoin the SFS community alongside AgPV’s best and brightest October 27 at Solar Farm House in Chicago (next to the United Center) for a short program on the stage in our new theatre recognizing 2026 NAAA recipients present in an intimate ceremony and sharing the stories behind the results of their work. Tasting (some of) the fruits of their labor will also be possible at this limited capacity event serving (very) heavy hors d’oeuvres prepared in house with solar-farmed ingredients–including some harvested by NAAA recipients themselves–as well as open bar service. \n\n\n\nLimited theatre seating is available to participate in the awards ceremony\, however\, additional ticketing is available to join us for a full service reception with lots of solar-fared fare and after party that will immediately follow. 2026 NAAA tickets and early bird registration are available on Eventbrite. \n\n\n\nSolar Farm House 2014 W Warren BlvdChicago\, ILUnited States \n\n\n\nLearn more: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2026-north-american-agrivoltaics-awards-tickets-1998375652371 \n\n\n\n\nRSVP

SUMMARY:Solar Farm Supper & After Party
DESCRIPTION:Real solar-farmed produce\, really good food\, and really good folks will join honored guests for full evening of fun at the Solar Farm House! \n\n\n\nJoin us on September 9 for a full evening of agrivoltaics-enabled fun in the first in a limited series of exciting new farming + solar events in Chicago produced by the Solar Farm Summit in its own space\, Solar Farm House! The best of the Midwest will be on a menu inspired by Executive Chef Dan French’s own culinary roots—including hearty roasts\, fresh vegetables\, fresh-baked goods\, and classic desserts—reimagined by a kitchen team that honors where our food comes from and holds reverence for who is doing the hard work to produce. \n\n\n\nTucked into the heart of downtown Chicago next to the United Center\, Solar Farm House is more than a friendly hearth where you can share solar-farmed foods—it’s a gathering place built on the idea that good food and good company go hand in hand in building our brightest future. Every event will tell different stories of the land\, of the people\, and of the partnership between the two upon which our way of life depends. Every solar-farmed ingredient will be traced back to specific names and places\, and we’ll revel in the stories of the farmers and ranchers who produced it\, and how agrivoltaics has enabled them to succeed in the field. \n\n\n\nBy pairing solar energy with traditional agriculture\, these agrivoltaic producers are proving that our modern innovation and ancient heritage can share the same acre to yield powerful and tasty dual-harvests—and Solar Farm House is proud to bring their stories straight to the plate. \n\n\n\nBecause the venue is intentionally small in capacity\, each event at Solar Farm House is designed to feel intimate\, personal\, and immersive. At its heart\, Solar Farm House is about togetherness: bringing good folks to share a bountiful table of solar-grown food and growing stronger professional and personal ties. \n\n\n\nFull Supper tickets are all inclusive of all appetizers\, dinner\, drinks (beer\, wine & spirits)\, dessert and digestifs with doors opening at 6PM. \n\n\n\nAfter Party tickets include heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks\, including beer\, wine and spirits after 9PM. \n\n\n\nExtremely limited seating available!  \n\n\n\nFor updates\, event questions\, and inquiries about future events\, please contact the Solar Farm Summit Team via email at admin@solarfarmsummit.com \n\n\n\nSolar Farm House 2014 W Warren BlvdChicago\, ILUnited States \n\n\n\nLearn more: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/solar-farm-supper-after-party-tickets-1997162330292 \n\n\n\n\nRSVP

SUMMARY:CFAR's Fundamentals of Agricultural Resilience
DESCRIPTION:20% off until August 17th! \n\n\n\nIn this intensive three-day program\, delve deeply into a diverse array of agricultural topics\, spanning from holistic systems thinking to the intricacies of soil health. Exploration includes understanding the origins of modern agricultural challenges\, how they have evolved over time\, and practical\, real-world solutions. \n\n\n\nParticipants engage in meaningful discussions\, debunk myths surrounding food production\, and take part in hands-on activities such as land monitoring. The workshop also provides a comprehensive overview of the essential services required for the production\, processing\, and monetization of agricultural products. \n\n\n\nThis transformative experience equips participants with actionable knowledge and practical tools to become catalysts for positive change in the ever-evolving landscape of agriculture. Together\, explore how to build more resilient\, sustainable\, and thriving agricultural systems.  \n\n\n\nLeading this program is Phil Bonelli\, regenerative farmer and founder of Hopewell Farms GA in North Georgia. Alongside his wife Lindsay and their five children\, Phil stewards a vibrant\, family-run farm committed to improving the health of the land\, water\, and air through rotational grazing and nature-based practices. At Hopewell Farms GA\, cattle\, chickens\, pigs\, and turkeys are thoughtfully raised on pasture and in forested environments\, in alignment with regenerative principles. \n\n\n\nWhite Oak Pastures 101 Church StreetBluffton\, GAUnited States \n\n\n\nLearn more: https://thecfar.org/products/fundamentals-of-agricultural-resilience-september-2026?blm_aid=45664 \n\n\n\n\nRSVP
