SUMMARY:Voice of the Landowner: Navigating Community Relations and Local Government
DESCRIPTION:On March 26\, REFA is partnering with the Center for Energy Education for a free webinar called “Voice of the Landowner: Navigating Community Relations and Local Government.” \n\n\n\nThis session addresses both community dynamics and local government engagement when considering renewable energy projects. Landowners are often absent from local meetings\, yet their voices are powerful—elected officials need to hear directly from those hosting projects. This session features landowners who have spoken publicly about their experiences\, offering practical strategies for: having productive conversations with neighbors\, addressing concerns honestly\, maintaining relationships regardless of differing opinions\, understanding the permitting process\, engaging with zoning boards and county commissioners\, and advocating for property rights at public hearings. An ideal kickoff for the webinar series\, demonstrating the power of authentic landowner voices. \n\n\n\nLearn more: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_7VyIipNPS9yijA-nW4RDzg?utm_campaign=40167739-2026%20Webinars&utm_medium=email&_hsenc=p2ANqtz–VztH9_zoP_3S2YnQnHGPUWVsydBn1b-K6HBkTbAaLeozUVWPWSfqjFd8cnkQxOgseI_v5BrKBDOmqlNHfC4CE1KKoKg&_hsmi=408420909&utm_content=408420909&utm_source=hs_email#/registration \n\n\n\n\nRSVP

SUMMARY:ASGA Call 96: ASGA and NLR's New Checklist for Implementing Solar Grazing
DESCRIPTION:What does successful solar grazing actually look like in practice\, and how should it be measured? \n\n\n\nIn this webinar\, we’ll hear from a panel on how this challenge was addressed with a new resource. The American Solar Grazing Association and the National Laboratory of the Rockies (previously the National Renewable Energy Laboratory) developed Means and Metrics: The Standard Checklist for Solar Grazing\, the first comprehensive framework for evaluating solar grazing systems. \n\n\n\nWe’ll also briefly introduce ASGA’s new resource\, A Quick Guide to Agrivoltaics Monitoring & Research Design\, which was created in partnership with The Nature Conservancy\, and outlines core principles for collecting reliable data on agricultural and ecological outcomes under solar infrastructure. \n\n\n\nBuilt from a review of existing research and informed by real-world experience\, the Means and Metrics report provides the first comprehensive framework for understanding the means of successful implementation and the metrics for evaluating performance across solar grazing projects. The guide is organized into six major areas: social\, economic\, ecological\, livestock\, grazing management\, and site design. The report provides practical tools for planning\, record-keeping\, and decision-making. \n\n\n\nIn this webinar\, ASGA and a panel of industry experts will walk through sections of the report. They’ll discuss how graziers and solar owners and operators can use these checklists to follow industry best practices when implementing solar grazing. Panelists will discuss how these standards can help improve transparency\, strengthen grazing systems\, and support long-term project success.Whether you are a solar grazier\, developer\, landowner\, or researcher\, this session will provide practical tools for evaluating and strengthening solar grazing systems. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nASGA and NLR’s New Checklist for Implementing Solar GrazingWednesday\, April 8th\, at 4:00pm ET \n\n\n\n\nRegister here\n\n\n\n\nRegistration link: https://luma.com/zz5kd293 \n\n\n\nThank you to our sponsor\, Nofence! \n\n\n\nEvents 2

SUMMARY:Ewes and Utilities:  Ins and Outs of Sheep Solar Grazing
DESCRIPTION:The University of Minnesota Extension invites you to a webinar exploring the “win-win” practice of solar grazing. This session features Jess Gray\, Vice President of the American Solar Grazing Association (ASGA) and owner of Gray’s LAMBscaping\, alongside Paul and Dana Cummings\, co-founders of Indiana’s Sunovis Ranch. \n\n\n\nDrawing on Jess’s extensive research and practical experience in solar grazing and the Cummings’ expertise in operating a family-run grazing business\, the panel will bridge the gap between technical solar development and livestock production. \n\n\n\nParticipants will gain an understanding of site evaluation and infrastructure essentials and the economic and environmental benefits of using sheep as a biological alternative to mechanical mowing. Whether you are a sheep producer looking to diversify income or a solar developer seeking sustainable vegetation management\, this webinar is for you. \n\n\n\nPre-registration is required to access the Zoom link. SUMMARY:ASGA Call 97: The New and Improved Solar Grazing Contract Template
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to introduce an updated version of one of ASGA’s most-used resources: the Solar Grazing Master Services Agreement (MSA) Template\, a.k.a. the ASGA Contract Template. \n\n\n\nPrevious versions of this contract template helped set the industry standard for solar grazing contracts and have been widely used across the country. The solar grazing industry has undergone significant growth since we last released an update in 2022\, and we decided it was time to revisit the contract and update it to reflect changes in the industry. \n\n\n\nDuring the revision process\, we worked with the Food and Farm Business Law Clinic at Pace University’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law to incorporate insights and lessons learned from real-world use across the industry. The Pace Law team reviewed extensive feedback collected from ASGA members\, including experienced solar graziers and representatives of major IPPs with grazing on their sites. \n\n\n\nAt this webinar\, Pace Law students Hope Newkirk and Andrew Lander will walk us through the key updates to the template\, explaining what has changed and the reasoning behind those revisions for both graziers and solar site operators. Lexie Hain\, ASGA Board of Directors and Director of Agrivoltaics and Land Management at Lightsource bp\, will join us to provide additional context for the revisions. \n\n\n\nParticipants will have the opportunity to ask questions and deepen their understanding of solar grazing contracting best practices. \n\n\n\nKey updates to the template include: \n\n\n\n\nVegetation maintenance standards\n\n\n\nDelayed commencement of grazing\n\n\n\nLate payment provisions\n\n\n\nNotification requirements for maintenance or emergency conditions\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Template: The solar grazing contract template is designed to provide a clear\, standardized framework for agreements between sheep graziers and solar companies. It is structured as a Master Services Agreement (MSA) that governs the overall relationship\, paired with Statements of Work (SOW) that define site-specific terms for individual projects. Together\, these components help ensure consistency\, clarity\, and scalability across multiple grazing sites. The original template was created in 2018 and updated in 2022 in partnership with the Food and Beverage Law Clinic (now the Food and Farm Business Law Clinic) at Pace University’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe New and Improved Solar Grazing Contract TemplateWednesday\, May 13th\, at 1:00pm ET \n\n\n\n\nRegister here\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration link: https://luma.com/gy2zitwr

SUMMARY:ASGA-ALB Certified Solar Grazing Workshop - Gainesville\, Florida
