SUMMARY:ASGA Call 96: ASGA and NLR's New Checklist for Implementing Solar Grazing
DESCRIPTION:What does successful solar grazing actually look like in practice\, and how should it be measured? \n\n\n\nIn this webinar\, we’ll hear from a panel on how this challenge was addressed with a new resource. The American Solar Grazing Association and the National Laboratory of the Rockies (previously the National Renewable Energy Laboratory) developed Means and Metrics: The Standard Checklist for Solar Grazing\, the first comprehensive framework for evaluating solar grazing systems. \n\n\n\nWe’ll also briefly introduce ASGA’s new resource\, A Quick Guide to Agrivoltaics Monitoring & Research Design\, which was created in partnership with The Nature Conservancy\, and outlines core principles for collecting reliable data on agricultural and ecological outcomes under solar infrastructure. \n\n\n\nBuilt from a review of existing research and informed by real-world experience\, the Means and Metrics report provides the first comprehensive framework for understanding the means of successful implementation and the metrics for evaluating performance across solar grazing projects. The guide is organized into six major areas: social\, economic\, ecological\, livestock\, grazing management\, and site design. The report provides practical tools for planning\, record-keeping\, and decision-making. \n\n\n\nIn this webinar\, ASGA and a panel of industry experts will walk through sections of the report. They’ll discuss how graziers and solar owners and operators can use these checklists to follow industry best practices when implementing solar grazing. Panelists will discuss how these standards can help improve transparency\, strengthen grazing systems\, and support long-term project success.Whether you are a solar grazier\, developer\, landowner\, or researcher\, this session will provide practical tools for evaluating and strengthening solar grazing systems. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nASGA and NLR’s New Checklist for Implementing Solar GrazingWednesday\, April 8th\, at 4:00pm ET \n\n\n\n\nRegister here\n\n\n\n\nRegistration link: https://luma.com/zz5kd293 \n\n\n\nThank you to our sponsor\, Nofence! \n\n\n\nEvents 2
