ASGA Certified™ Training Programs

Managing vegetation with sheep is a dynamic partnership between solar company and sheep producer. ASGA developed the world’s first Solar Grazing Certification for sheep producers, and Solar Industry Professional Certification for solar companies to optimize results for both parties.

Solar grazing requires a unique set of skills for a sheep producer. ASGA-Certified Solar Grazing Training teaches key topics and best practices fundamental to this profession. The course takes place both in the classroom and on an actively grazed solar field. ASGA members who take a certified course earn a digital badge to use in marketing their services, and are qualified to list their status on the ASGA solar grazing map.

The Solar Industry Professionals Certification program is titled “What to Expect When You’re Expecting Sheep”. This one-day workshop is designed for site operations and management teams, developers, asset managers, sustainability teams, and solar company employees. An in-depth orientation provides a clear picture of day-to-day life with sheep on site, and takes place both in the classroom and on a grazed site.
