Indart Solar Sheep Grazing
Ryan Indart is a third-generation California sheep producer and owner of The Indart Group, Inc., which is engaged in sheep ranching, direct marketing of lamb, dryland farming, and custom farm work. Ryan is also the owner of Indart Solar Sheep Grazing, specializing in sheep grazing and vegetation management for fire fuel loads reduction in large, utility-scale solar sites throughout the Western U.S. Along with his sheep operation, Ryan and his family farm cherries, oranges, almonds and dryland wheat on the family ranch in Clovis. He is extremely proud and honored to have the opportunity to continue the Indart Family name in the sheep industry today.
Ryan is an active and involved leader in many aspects of the sheep and agricultural Industries. He is a past president and currently serves on the Board of the California Wool Growers Association and the Western Range Association. He is on the board of the National Lamb Feeders Association and on the Executive Board of the American Sheep Industry Association as the region 8 representative. Ryan is also the current president of the Fresno County Farm Bureau. Ryan is committed to the survival and success of American farming and ranching, and a way of life that is defined by its deep roots of family, tradition, patriotism, environmental stewardship, sacrifice, and perseverance.
Ryan received his bachelor’s degree from U.C. Davis, where he was a double lettered athlete in both men’s varsity water polo as well as track and field. He received his master’s degree from the University of Notre Dame. Ryan and his wife, Beatriz, reside in Clovis with their four daughters.
