Beatriz was born and raised in Guatemala City in a farming and ranching family, producing a variety of crops like lemongrass oil, sugarcane, rubber, different citrus, as well as cattle. As a teenager, Beatriz fell in love with agriculture while spending time working alongside her father and brothers. After she graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where she earned her degree in Business Administration with a minor in computer science, she returned to the family farm to implement new technology that improved the family business.
In 2006, Beatriz married Ryan Indart, a third-generation sheep rancher and farmer from Clovis, CA. They bought the sheep operation from Ryan’s parents in 2009 and formed The Indart Group, Inc. While raising four daughters, Beatriz was able to be involved in the business as half owner and Corporate Secretary.
Currently, Beatriz is actively involved with The Indart Group, Inc., which manages Indart Solar Sheep Grazing. She manages workers health and safety training, work contracts and visas, personnel documents, and workers travel itineraries.
As we celebrate the International Year of the Woman Farmer, ASGA is proud to recognize the women across our solar grazing community who are advancing agriculture through innovation, stewardship, and leadership. Follow along as we share their stories and celebrate the many ways they’re helping shape the future of farming. Happy International Year of the Woman Farmer! #IYWF2026
