The American Solar Grazing Association Presents:
Stewards of the Land
Many younger farmers who love agriculture and have the drive to succeed still face long odds to farm full time. Against those odds, Arlo Hark and Josie Trople found a way to live their dream and support their growing family by raising sheep on solar energy sites in Minnesota and throughout the Western and Central United States. Sheep grazing doesn’t just bring agricultural production to solar sites. The sheep are restoring the soil and creating vibrant ecosystems under these solar panels. Arlo and Josie’s story shows how young farmers can find new opportunities. Their journey represents a new future for land stewardship with healthy solar pastures.
