ASGA-ALB Certified Solar Grazing Workshop – Plymouth, Indiana

2026 Indiana Certification Workshop 1

The American Solar Grazing Association is excited to announce that the American Lamb Board will be hosting an ASGA Certified Solar Grazing Training for farmers and ranchers from July 27th to 29th in Plymouth, IN!

Over the 3-day training, participants will learn the solar grazing training standards set by ASGA, which covers the basic subjects a sheep rancher should be versed in to manage vegetation on a solar site. The workshop includes a live demonstration on a site grazed by solar sheep. 

New solar projects are creating opportunities for sheep producers to graze their flocks on solar sites and start solar grazing enterprises. We look forward to hosting sheep producers from the state and nearby areas to learn about running a solar grazing operation.

  • Classroom location: Lindenwood Building, Evergreen Room
  • Instructions: Park in Lots D and RD. Lindenwood is Building 6 on this walking paths map, located right next to Lot D. The Evergreen Room is just inside our main entrance. We’ll also have a sign that says “American Lamb Board” with an arrow pointing guests toward the Evergreen Room.

The ASGA Certification Program is part of our ongoing efforts to develop a workforce of qualified solar graziers and help sheep farmers realize the incredible opportunity solar grazing presents.
