Recently Published: NYSERDA Study Preliminary Results

In Summer of 2024, ASGA had the privilege to present preliminary results from our NYSERDA study at the AgriVoltaics World Conference Poster Session. Along with our poster, our research team submitted a full paper with a more in-depth analysis of our project and results. We are excited to announce that this paper, Sheep Grazing Impacts on Soil Health and Pasture Quality at Commercial Solar Sites in Northeastern USA, was recently published!

The NYSERDA research consists of 2 years of forage data and 3 years of soil data from 28 grazed and 3 non-grazed commercial solar sites to determine how grazing influences solar site health, associated ecosystem health, forage nutritive quality, and pasture conditions at Northeastern solar sites from 2022-2024.

Our sampling was completed in Summer 2024, and our research team is currently working on our final deliverables, which will contain a full summary of our results. Stay tuned for the release of these deliverables beginning later this year.

Congratulations to those involved in this project:
